Ridge's 7th birthday was on Friday. Amazing how fast they grow and learn and change. Two years ago Ridge was all about trains and this year he is into Bionicles and Pokemon. He is a smart boy with a quick sense of humor and we love him dearly.
Cannon helped to choose some Bionicles to give him, I think he was really pleased to give Ridge something he liked. Cannon also helped me frost the cake. I wrote Ridge's name and Cannon did the icing around the edges.
We gave Ridge some money to spend at the Lego store. I wrapped it up like a present and when he opened it and saw what it was he gleefully exclaimed, "I'm rich!" It was pretty cute. On the table by the presents you can see a bottle of teriyaki sauce. Ridge loves it on his rice so Eric brought home the good stuff from a place near his office. Ridge said it was a "weird" present and said that he would share it with the whole family.

looks like he had a good birthday! one year more till he's baptized! hooray! seven has been so much fun for chastin! i'm sure ridge will enjoy all the new things you learn and can do when your 7!

When Ryan got laid off last year, being closer to your family was in the top tier of reasons we looked at moving west again. Ryan and Eric have so many good memories of being "the guys". I think they'll enjoy keeping tabs on each other via our blogs now :) What beautiful kids - I can't believe you've got 4 already! I hope we're as fortunate and get some toe-head girls too!
