FYI

1. Final orchesta concert of the season is this Sunday, June 10th, 3pm at the University Prep theater. We are playing Beethoven's 3rd Symphony and the Dvorak cello concerto. The young man we are accompaning for the concerto has an amazing talent. I have loved watching him play and am in awe with how effortlessly he seems to draw beautiful sound out of his cello. So if you are in the area and need a nice Sunday afternoon activity I'd love to see you. I'm sitting at the back of the section for this concert. Free punch and cookies at intermission!

2. Tums Smoothies Cocoa and Creme flavors are so easy to eat, as far as you can say an antacid is easy to get down. I hide them from Eric because he thinks that regular Tums are really good and eats them like candy.

3. The DI is a great place to shop. Today we went to the DI. Eric left small gifts for the kids for each day that he is away. Last night the gift was a pack of gum each and money for the DI. The boys each had $3 and Laine had $1. Ridge found a giant tank for $1.50 and 5 hackey sacks for $2.50. He then owed me a dollar which he deliberated about for a while but decided that these finds were worth it. Cannon found a semi-truck that can hold matchbox size cars, a triceratops and a large toy Mercedes. Laine found another CareBear (that makes 5 that we've found at DI) and a picnic set. Then we walked over to the books and videos and found more treasures: StarWars episodes 1 and 6, Veggie Tales and Snow White and a CareBears book. One child's trash is another child's treasure.

4. Ben and Jerry's "Everything but the..." flavor is really yummy -- but only eat it when you want to indulge. Shannon Malcom brought me a pint of it for my birthday. I ate it in 3 servings. I had Eric buy me another one Tuesday night when he made a late night store run to get a few supplies for his trip and this one will be just 2 servings (I'm finishing it off tonight). I won't tell you the fat/calorie count because then you won't try it -- so don't look, just enjoy.

I have a bday part to go to that day or I would do everything I could to try to be there! If anything, just to see a perty pregnant lady play the cello. oh man, hopefully I have my instruments correct, thats what you play, right?
Thanks for the reminder about the tums. I forgot they made the chocolate ones and you are right, they aren't half bad!

hey, you aren't allowed to look at calories or fat or any of that junk! 1st your pregnant, 2nd you don't weigh enough pregnant or not to have to ever worry about how much fat is in anyhting! i looked at ben and jerrys ice cream the other day and i think i weighed about 5 lbs more just thinking about it. and i even walked to the store, hoping to lose a few calories there and back. no such luck.:) p.s how did you make it last 2 or 3 servings? heehee...
