Today I came upon this mom's blog and the website in memory of her precious child -- don't read it unless you are at a point where you can cry.
It is interesting, how we can be connected to people we don't even know with a few clicks on the computer. This blog isn't far removed from mine -- Sally's to Lauren's to hers and now I feel somehow connected to this woman and I miss her daughter with her. So I know her through her blog, I've cried for her and yet if we were both at the mall playland we would not have talked and I wouldn't have known. Is that better? Maybe so because it gives me that perspective so that I don't pass quick judgements onto people I don't know. I could ramble on and on about this issue but I won't because I'm sure you've all thought about it too.
It reminds me of this poem, another gem sent to me by my mom when I was a missionary:
If I Had Known by Mary Carolyn Davies
If I had known what trouble you were bearing;
What griefs were in the silence of your face;
I would have been more gentle, and more caring,
And tried to give you gladness for a space.
I would have brought more warmth into the place,

Thanks for sharing that poem. Its amazing the stories and lives you come across from knowing people...and what we can learn from each of them, and what we can take into our own lives.
Oh...my heart hurts for that mom.

I copied your poem because I wasn't ready to look at the site you mentioned but I thought the poem was so perfect for home teaching and Im sending it to my superviser- I know she'll love it.
