Preschool for Cannon

Cannon started preschool today! He was actually excited to go but was sad in the first picture because I made him stand up and smile. He told me, "mom, Spidey doesn't stand like that." So then I took a picture of him doing his Spidey pose and then he smiled.
Ridge would wave at me from the waving window every time I dropped him off. Cannon was so exctied to play with the toys that I don't think he would have noticed that I had left but I said goodbye to him and he gave me a happy, "bye mom." His teacher reported that he played with nearly everything in the classroom and he did a good job at being in the group. He did start crying during gym time but calmed down and was happy when I picked him up.

Laine found the paints set up on the easel when we first walked in the classroom and wanted to stay and paint her own picture. She protested a little when we left to go to Target, but we had fun -- just the girls. She was good company on her own. When we returned for Cannon she was so sad to learn that we were just going home again, she kept saying, "I go preschool too!" I had to carry her out crying. Will she do this every time?

Maybe--that was how I ended up putting Carter in preschool at age 2. He put up such a fuss every time we dropped Courtney off it wasn't worth it to me.

Cannon is such a cute kid. I just love his personality and his infectious smile. (and, of course, his Spidey pose!)
