Makes sense right? 5 people in the family, so 5 haircuts, but we didn't cut Laine's hair. Cannon had 2 haircuts in one day. Here's the story. Eric needed a haircut. Ridge could have gone without one but it was looking long around his ears. The debate always centers around Cannon's hair, his thick, beautiful hair. Eric didn't want to have his hair cut until January. I agreed but then Cannon's hair was getting so long and was always in his eyes and he was always trying to look through his bangs or he would lift his chin to see better. His hair just wouldn't naturally part and get out of his eyes. So I decreed that he needed at least his bangs trimmed so he could see better. And the other debate/conflict is that Eric hates paying to get his haircut so he goes to the cheapest place possible and that $8 haircut store is run by Vietnamese ladies who don't understand English. So when Eric told the woman to just cut Cannon's bangs she nodded and then started cutting his hair all over. Cannon ended up looking like a girl. Why didn't I just trim his bangs? I don't know. But this haircut experience made Eric so mad, he comes home mad every time because he isn't understood. So then the discussion always turns to, well, you have to pay more then for a haircut but he isn't willing. So I took Cannon to a different $8 haircut store, run by a different Vietnamese lady who used to employ the lady who cut Cannon's hair earlier. I walked into the store and almost turned around and left but then the owner told me to look in the children's hairstyle books and that made me feel better. Cannon really wanted spiky hairstyle so I found a haircut that could be nicely combed and then spiked as well. As she was cutting his hair it made me teary, I was just thinking how his hair is so great but that he is so much more than a boy with beautiful hair. And now you can see his big, beautiful, blue eyes so well. But we'll probably just let his hair grow again. And even though getting my hair washed and cut at the nice salon where I usually go is one of my favorite ways to pamper myself, I got my hair cut at the $8 place as well. I should say trimmed, not cut.

i LOVE cannon's haircut!
i was thinking today that his eyes do look big and beautiful with his hair shorter.
so cute!
I love Cannon's new do! Bella on the other hand likes the before picture.
Do you have any of those cookies left?

Looks good, Paige. Laura was sad to see Cannon's cut because it reminded her of Luke's old bowl cut. We didn't change Luke's bowl cut until he was three and Laura had a real hard time with it because it meant that he was starting to grow up.
The cut makes him look a lot like Ridge.
I think he looks less like a girl and more like a handsome little boy. Much better. And such a funny story, too!
Can't wait to see you!
