You Gotta Say This

Cannon's phrase of late is, "you gotta say this." When he is playing with anyone he tells them what they need to say to continue the play in the way he wants it to go. I noticed this about a month ago and also noticed that Ridge would say what Cannon said he had to say. I thought Ridge was being nice and just going along with Cannon because Ridge usually steers the play where he wants and I've told him that he has to let Cannon imagine things too. But actually, he didn't realize what he was doing. It took a few weeks but then Ridge would catch himself saying what Cannon told him to say and he would refuse. Then he would yell "Mom! Cannon always tells me what I have to say!" When they are both happy then Ridge will go along with it; when they aren't then Ridge will say "NO!" and Cannon will come running to me, nearly in tears, "he won't say what I said!"
