Thanksgiving etc...

We stayed here for Thanksgiving and ate on our own. I know, it doesn't sound exciting but guess what? Eric got Cannon to use the toilet! For some reason Cannon was willing to try with Eric being the supervisor of potty training and he is doing great! He is still working on the #2 coordination but hey, one thing at at time. Playing "sink the Cheerios" was quite fun for all the boys and Cannon was so excited to learn that his pee was yellow just like Dad's and Ridge's.

Everything else is just yadda yadda. We went to the zoo in the morning. It was pouring rain, but we live in Seattle so the rain doesn't change your plans. Well Laine, who usually loves the zoo, wouldn't put her coat on, she didn't like the one we brought, cried and cried, shoved our arms away. So Eric stayed in the car with her for a few minutes but she didn't settle down. We finally wrested her into the coat and brought her kicking and screaming to the entrance gate. We got in and realized that she had lost a shoe. So I ran back to find it sitting in the rain next to the car. Laine didn't stop her loud crying so I ended up taking her back to the car where she continued to cry for another 20 minutes. When she finally settled down we went and met the boys and stayed for a while longer.

Friday we got our Christmas tree at the cut-your-own-tree farm we have been going to for the past few years. It wasn't raining so that was a nice outing.

Saturday we drove up the mountains to find a place to sled. We got to our first destination and Eric got the boys into their snow gear and then a police officer and DOT guy came and told everyone around that they had to move out of the place. Which was just fine because Laine was having another fit about being in her snowsuit. She ended up falling asleep on the drive to find another spot so I stayed in the car with her while the boys went and had snow fun. She woke up and we let her walk around in the snow for a bit, without her coat. She was walking around in her little leggings and sweatshirt.

oh, and we ate hamky instead of turkey.
