Snowy Days

So much snow, for our area, that school was delayed an hour and a half for Ridge and the bus stop was moved around the corner. The boys were so happy that the snow didn't melt while we were in church yesterday (and while we all had our mandatory Sunday afternoon naps). They had so much fun in the snow. And Ridge went out in the morning before school to play, and out again in the evening after dinner. It took Eric nearly 3 hours to get home. People here don't know what to do with this much snow, and it isn't even that much snow, relatively speaking. Eric said that people were stopped on the middle of the freeway putting chains on their tires. No wonder traffic was so bad. Sometimes it pays to drive a gas-guzzling, environment-destroying SUV with 4-wheel drive positrack lockers so all 4 wheels spin at the same rate. My van doesn't have that of course, but I don't need to drive anywhere.

Wow! I had no idea it did that in Seattle. My kids keep asking when the snow is coming and I have to tell them I'm not sure if it will. They don't really get it (but I'm enjoying the 70 degree weather!). Looks fun (and Christmasy so that makes me jealous)!

I can't believe that people were actually stopping on the freeway to put chains on their tires. You would think that they could have figured that all out before they got on the road. Ugh!!!
I am happy to see that you guys got some snow to play in. It sure makes the cold more bearable when there is fun snow outside.
