So around 11 last night I heard Cannon cough, that terrible cough, and I ran upstairs and he was covered in vomit. A half hour later Ridge was screaming and he did the same trick. This continued through most of the night, one then the other, so today I did at least 8 loads of laundry. I have learned that when Cannon is going to be sick he tells us, very calmly, "mom, I'm sick." When Ridge is going to be sick he yells and gets crazy. This is what happened through the night.
After Cannon's first sick attack he asked, "mom, can you take care of me?"
"how do I do that Cannon?"
"sing me songs and sit by me on the couch."
after being sick again, "I want to be awake now."
"why?"
"because then I won't be sick anymore."
Since he kept getting sick while he was asleep it made perfect sense to him that being awake would help him feel better.
then later, after the 4th sick, "I need to go to the hospital."
Laine, who was sick with this last weekend, has been watching the boys closely. Tonight she watched Cannon be sick then when Eric came upstairs she told him over and over, "Cannon frow up." She's all better now and I think she is feeling as restless as I am.
