My favorite lunch this summer has been a dish of pasta dressed like this: grated cheese (the good stuff), chopped fresh chives and italian parsley (from the garden!), drizzle of olive oil, salt and pepper to taste. It has been so pleasing to cut herbs from the yard and use them immediately.
But please don't let this fool you. My garden has not been bounteous. I do not have a green thumb.

This looks very yummy and I love pasta. I might just have to make it sometime. What kind of cheese do you use?
Our garden isn't doing as good as we want it to. Some of our plants have grown well, but others haven't.
looks yummy and healthy!
so creative!
Yum!!!
Can I come to your house for lunch? ;)
Ok, that looks so good Paige. :)
that's all i want every day. looks perfect.
okay, you've got to check out the recipes on the simplysogood.blogspot.com blog if you like fresh herbs...
I'd like a bowl too please!
I tried cilantro last year and it wasn't worth the effort. How did the chives and parsley fare? The easiest herb for me is Rosemary. It grows so well, last year's is turning into a bush. Plus, it has no problem surviving winter.
I remember when we made something similar when i came to your house when you were pregnant with Laine. Now I make it often too...though my herbs are fried out in the sun right now!
