Crocs - love/hate

So these shoes were only $10 for my pair, $7 for the kids, too cheap to pass up. I thought they'd be perfect beach, pool, summer shoes and I thought I'd find some other sandles for myself soon enough and I told myself that I wouldn't wear them around town. They look so cute on the kids but on my they don't look so cute, they are huge blue foams on my feet. What kind of comments would I get from Stacey and Clinton? But today, here I am, wearing them. Maybe the real ones are more comfortable and ergonomic. These ones are fine but not fabulous in any way, I just haven't found that perfect pair of summer shoes. I think I just need to give up and buy 3 cheap pairs but I really wanted some perfect pregnant lady sandals. Any suggestions?

Laine loves to wear hers and they look really cute, but she runs funny when she has them on. Today we went for a walk around the block and she was running really fast down a gravel driveway, I was down the driveway looking at the house because it is for sale, and she tripped, caught herself on her hands but was going to fast that her motion propelled her forward and she stopped the fall on her face. It looked like she was doing a breakdance move because her feet flipped up so high behind her. She has a fat lip and a few scrapes on her face but she'll be fine. I blame myself for being too curious and the CRocS!

i like the angle you took that shot from. cool idea!
shilo has faux crocks from sketchers in a light pink that are just adorable! and you won't belive it but i tried them on in the little girls size last summer, and almost got some, but they were 20$ for some foam shoes that i wouldn't wear nearly as much as my girls would, so i stuck with them wearing them all summer, and me just admiring them, wishing i was a little kid again able to wear light pink crocks all summer! anyway i'm not sure i can pull them off quite like you can.

I hate to say this, but I wore my crocs my whole pregnancy. They were my favorites and felt so comfy!

I laughed out loud at the Stacy and Clinton comment- I watch them during my morning workout every day!
Umm..my suggestion, I would get those cool Keds(?) that are super squishy in sole but they look like leather white ..oh I can't think of how to describe it. I'll look it up and post a pic if I can find one on my blog- how about that? I think those are the very best. I got them because the laces are even stretchy so they are super comfy, look cute, don't make you trip one little bit and even look amazing with the no ankle socks and shorts or capri's...at least I like the look. Maybe its not your thing but I'll go find a pic of them anyway (im going to look on the keds site because I think that was the brand.)

Well if Marie wore them then maybe it is okay for me to wear them in public, but I might have to invest in the real things and ones that aren't so bright blue, although at this point no one looks at my feet anyway.

Thanks for the post. That is a great picture you took of all of you. As your official stocker I now know what I need to run out and buy to sport on my feet this summer.

I think crocs are perfect for Seattle - it totally fits the style there so embrace them. I really wanted a pair last fall when I was in Ventura - another great crocs community - but felt the same that they look like big boats on my feet. And now in Vegas, i could not wear them at all. its just not the community for them, so go with it!
