Laine's Flowers

This Cameila bush grows outside one of Laine's windows. It is my favorite plant on our property. One of the positives of buying an old house is that there are established, old plants in our yard, and this one is wonderful. Right before spring is here the bush starts to bloom. The bud closest to Laine's window opened first and every day she would ask to look at her flower. Now she is thrilled to see so many flowers on her plant. The flowers are also visible through our dining room window and they make me so happy to see them. The best view is from Laine's room because her room is painted a bright green and the rosy pink of the flowers looks so pretty in contrast to her space. So even though it is supposed to rain every day next week, except maybe for Monday, these flowers make the view outside a little less grey.

glad you posted this beautiful tree! yesterday at sky nursery while picking out the tree for our baby we decided to buy another one of these to frame the dining room french doors. when we moved into our old house john tried to pull it out with a floor jack and it wouldn't budge! thank goodness because I love it! did you know that these beautiful trees run around $200! the bigger the more it will run you!shilo also loves our camillia and was telling everyone a the nursery that "it's pink!" this is the first time in seven years that it has bloomed, i think that it was in shock from the abuse john sujected it to that first year:)

we had a beautiful pink camellia at our rental house too.
now we have a white one.
(perfect for me)
we pruned it last year and now it looks like a lorax tree from Dr. Seuss.
