On Saturday we drove the Avalanche down to Olympia to the Cramer's home. The Cramer's were in our ward until this summer when Adam graduated from dental school and bought a practice in the Olympia area so our dear friends moved away! But onward and upward -- they live in a mansion now! Ridge named it The Mansion. They were able to buy a beautiful new, happy yellow home -- larger than ours -- hence the mansion title. So Eric and the kids stayed at the house and kept Adam and Ella company (and made a mess of their play room and colored on the new floor) while I went to Lauren's baby shower (she is due to have a boy around Thanksgiving). It was so nice to be able to celebrate with her and eat yummy food. Lauren looks just beautiful and even though she is due in a few weeks she is as sunny and sparkly as ever. As we were getting ready to leave I took my keys out of my pocket, looked at them and felt sick. I realized that I had put my keys in my pocket and locked the Eric's keys in the truck. I've never locked keys in the car in my life. It wouldn't have helped if we were closer to home either because we only have one key to the truck, something that we will remedy soon. So I called a locksmith, $55 cash or $60 check, to open the car for me. It took him about 40 minutes to get there and about 30 seconds to unlock the car. It still makes me sigh and roll my eyes at myself to think about it. What else could I have done with that $55? Lauren had to spot me because my purse was locked in the car with the keys. Thanks Lauren.
But we made it home, about 90 minutes later than we had planned. At least we didn't run into a lot of traffic, the rain has been torrential this weekend.

I don't know if I would classify it as a mansion...doesn't it seem like everything is is huge when you are a kid? I am glad you had fun, despite the extra $55 you had to spend.
Lauren:)
