Cannon has a friend named Grady. They would have been in the same preschool class this year if Cannon had made the potty-training goal. Grady's mom, Kelly, picks up Cannon every Tuesday afternoon and takes him to story time at the library. I tried to take Laine and Cannon 3 weeks ago and when we sat down in the room Laine threw a fit. She wanted nothing to do with it. I think because she wanted to do our regular library routine and sitting and listening is not one of them. So Kelly takes Cannon, which is wonderful because Cannon is entranced by the whole thing. It made me sad that I haven't made a bigger effort to take them before -- but at least we go to the library, right? So today Cannon got to go play at Grady's house for a little while after the library. I guess I didn't give him enough time to play because when I went in to tell him that I was there to take him home and he ran away from me, threw himself on his stomach, covered his face with his hands and cried and yelled that he didn't want to go home yet.
BTW, Grady's mom is my friend. Kelly is the one who took the beautiful pictures of Laine and Cannon after they were born. Check out her blog.
