So Cannon is still very unwilling to potty-train. I thought this might have been the magic week. We did a diaper countdown together everytime he needed changing and when we got to zero he was excited to put on undies and tell dad about it. And he had a picture that we printed from the web of this Go Diego Go toy that he will get once he can use the toilet. He was really excited about the toy but, he wasn't excited to actually use the toilet. It is really hard to muscle Cannon around when he is set against something -- and he is really set against sitting on the toilet. It seems like I don't have enough strength to get him to sit there unless I am filled with mad energy, and I hate to feel so upset about this. Of course he had an accident but then told me that it was okay that he was wet, he didn't need to be changed yet. I know these are the "signs" from the experts that he isn't really ready but since he is so big it would be really nice if I didn't have to change his diapers, really nice. I think he shows all the signs of being ready and not ready at the same time. So I bought more diapers for him yesterday. I suppose we'll try again in another few weeks. He still is the sweetest boy. How could anyone be upset with a grin like his?
