Kind of awesome couch

So last week the kids had Friday off for a teacher work day. In an effort to get us all out of the house despite the rain we headed to the DI to give them our donations and spend a little money on other peoples' trash we deemed as treasure. Well, sitting on the furniture section was this kind of awesome old couch in really good condition. Perhaps it was in a sweet grandma's home for many years and she passed on, leaving the flower gem to relatives who didn't have space for it's charm in their homes.

Well I decided to make space because I have a couch that I strongly dislike, a used, free-to-us deal that quickly began to fall apart and look awful.

So I bought this gem for the hefty sum of $25. It even matches the red and yellow color scheme. This isn't exactly my taste but I kind of love it and our house is such an old cottage that it fits in perfectly.

Paige, I LOVE it! Have you noticed all the vintage-y fabric furniture in Anthropologie catalog? You are in the height of style!

What a cool couch! They really don't make furniture like they use to. You buy couches from places around here, and they won't last even 1 or 2 years.

My family had these two very nice flowered couches that were so comfy. Today they are still in great shape, but unfortunately, the colors have faded away so they are sitting in our storage. If I had the money, I would get them reupholstered.

Love the couch. Love the adorable little baby chillin' on the couch even more. Comfort is key when it comes to furniture and Massimo looks comfortable.

Thanks for the birth announcement. You made me cry by refering to me as "aunt" Mindy. It made me wish we could live closer to one another because I really do cherish our friendship. Maybe some day we will be running partners again.

Love the vintage couch with the light and dark blue stripe cushy baby pillow.
