Massimo's here!

He made it!  I made it!  (Phew!) Everyone is so happy Massimo's here.  They were all very sweet when they came to meet him in the hospital.  I'll spare you all the birth details, for now at least.  Massimo was my biggest baby weighing in at 8 lbs 14 oz.  and 21" long.  (Cannon was also 21")  He's lost some weight, as happens, but he seems to be a champ at eating so I'm sure that those lost ounces will go back on quickly.  That first night, holding him in the hospital, he did feel heavy.  Fun to have a chubby newborn.

He's quite a novelty.  Everyone asks if they can be the first to hold him in the morning and after every nap, Sommer not as much as the older three.  They patiently and happily hold him and wait for him to make funny noises.  The line for helping with his bath in the evening isn't moving fast enough.
I was greeted with a big mural in the front windows.
Eric and Ridge playing Donkey Kong, early Wii lessons.
Four days old.  I'm tired, as happens when the baby decides that sleeping during the night isn't as fun as being held because he doesn't want to burp, but happy to have this little boy part of our family, finally.

Oh Paige, Massimo is so cute and precious. If I had a cute baby around, I would be holding them alot too. I can't wait to see Massimo when you come to church, which I don't care if you wait a month. Don't worry, I won't be hovering around him.

Have you picked a middle name for Massimo yet? He already has a cool first name. I can't wait until Massimo opens his eyes more. Babies look very cute when they do. I don't mind you telling the birth story, I have heard plenty of them already.

Glad to hear you have so much help with Massimo. He is adorable and I agree that chubby newborns are the best.
I will hopefully be in town the last weekend in January and would love to come by and meet him and see all of you. I'll keep you posted.
p.s. Love the hair!

Congratulations - he is so precious! But I am smiling at your comment: "I'm tired, as happens when the baby decides..." Maybe it's also because you gave birth less than a week ago and have four other kiddos to keep up with, too? ;) I wish I could send you a nanny/cook/maid so that you could just relax and enjoy staring at your beautiful boy. Nice work, Mom!
