Haircuts

before

after
Eric hasn't had a haircut since February.  And that haircut was really a buzz cut done by a friend, the punishment for not meeting his weightloss/exercise goal for the month.  I can't remember when the boys last had theirs done.  Maybe in the summer?  Ridge hates when his hair gets close to his eyebrows and Cannon didn't want a haircut as he is preferring his longish these days (I would too with his golden locks).  But finally, they all went and got cleaned up during our unexpected holiday time at home.  They were all happy enough with their cuts even though the haircutter wrote "Gjertic, Bridge, and Kon" on their bill for their names, little language barrier.

Eric has gotten a lot of grief about his hair length over the past couple months.  Not from me though.  It did look quite unruly but Eric is so much more than his haircut.  He's been working so much lately and hasn't taken the time he needs for himself.  And his longer hair didn't mean that his testimony of the gospel was shorter.  I know how busy he's been with work and other things.  And on the Saturdays when he hasn't worked, he was taking care of neglected things at home, mainly his kids, or watching his son play football.

We're all so much more than our outside appearances.  I wish I could see souls better.  I'd be a better person for it.

Great looking haircuts! I noticed on Sunday that Eric had gotten his hair cut and I meant to say how nice it looked, but I forgot.

I'm sorry Eric was given a hard time about his long hair. His hair didn't make me think he was struggling with the gospel at all. If anything, I would be worried if a member I know, was dressing scary, hanging out with the wrong crowd, or not coming to church.

Sometimes our hair tends to get long. I know I will need a haircut sometime soon because it's getting really long.
