Annual haircut

Laine decided it was time to get a haircut, just like she did last June. Ballet is over so there is no need to have long hair that can be pulled up into a bun and no need to have long hair that gets tangled in her sleep and causes tears some mornings when it needs to be brushed out.

We went to a little shop nearby where I usually take the boys. The lady who owns the place was brushing hair dye into her hair when we walked in. There was a man waiting for his turn while she finished doing her own hair so she told us there was a 15 minute wait. Laine was excited to look through the (outdated) hairstyle book for kids and find the perfect new short hairstyle. She was very patient and serious during the cut. I worried at one point that she didn't like it but she was just waiting to smile at the end. She's thrilled with her new look. And at the end of the haircut I heard the timer go off for the owner's haircolor. Time to rinse.

She looks adorable, and very pleased with her choice. And I love that the hairstylist was busy doing her own hair. That is hilarious.

She looks so cute!
We just cut Afton's hair to (per her request...too hot on her neck!).
I'll have to post those pictures so Lainey can see her twin cousin ;)

I might have to do this for Meri in few days...ballet is over today. But it took all year to grow out...us darn Collins girls and the hair down to there! (I guess since I can't have it anymore, I want to make my girls do it now, lol.) Cute hair cut, by the way!
