Meanwhile, back at the ranch

While I was gone, Eric took the kids to a local Barnes and Noble while I was gone so that Ridge could get his copy of Fablehaven book 5 signed by the author. Brandon Mull is a really nice man and it was worth the wait for Ridge to talk to him again. (We went to meet him when he last came to the Seattle area.) Ridge finished the book in a few days time and is now complaining that he has nothing to read and that there is nothing at the library. I need to talk to the librarian and find out where to direct his reading now. Ridge is the skinny kid in the bright orangy-yellow shirt.

Eric also took all the kids to see Diary of a Wimpy Kid and took all of them to the grocery store. They bought lots of things. Life is always more fun when Dad's in charge.

It sounds like your entire family has had a fun few days! Has Ridge read Percy Jackson? My boys really liked that series (me too, haha.)

Tell Ridge that I heard on the news tonight that the script is already ready for the movie of Fablehaven, so he can watch for that before too much longer. Apparently it's rivaling Twilight. We talked about Among the Hidden by Margaret Haddix while you were here but Ridge ran out of time. I have all six of the series if he wants me to send them--I enjoyed reading all of them with Todd. Love you!

Thanks for the suggestions. He's rereading book 2 of Percy Jackson right now. And he'll be excited to hear about the movie.
