First ski trip for boys (funny story attached)

Eric took the boys skiing for the first time during out trip to Utah. They went to Sundance and had a great package deal that included lessons, even one for Eric. The boys took to it well, Ridge especially liked barreling down the hill. There was only one incident.

The three of them were on the lift, getting ready to exit. This lift lets you off mid-way up the mountain or you can choose to stay on and go to the top of the mountain. Eric prepped the boys so they'd be ready to get off, and it wasn't their first time on the lift, in fact, it was their last run of the day. Well, one, two, three, Ridge and Eric got off the lift and skied to the side but Cannon, for unknown reasons, stayed on and began going up the mountain alone. He was quick to realize his mistake and immediately started screaming at the top of his lungs. The lift operator couldn't stop the lift so Cannon could get off, he was too high up at that time. So they radioed up the mountain, informing ski patrol that a terrified 6-year-old was on his way up and needed some help getting down to his dad and brother. There were a couple of guys in the chair behind Cannon who tried to console him but Cannon screamed much of the way up the mountain anyway. A short while later Cannon was safely down to meet up with Eric and Ridge, brave face on by then, and they all finished their last run together. I'm sure even Cannon will laugh about it someday.

Oh Cannon. That's pretty funny and I can hear him screaming the whole way up...poor kid. Funny, but traumatizing!

No doubt he will remember that forever. But I am sure it will become a famous family tale!

Yep, that is one you will tell for years to come. I'm glad there was no lasting damage done. I can just imagine Ethan is that scenario - everyone would have heard him for MILES! :) Glad they had a good time otherwise, though.

I have to admit, had I been in Cannon's shoes (skis!), I would have been screaming too! Good thing he had enough common sense not to panic and try to jump. I am not sure my posterity would have managed as well, haha.
