New Year Hike

After a late breakfast we headed out to Discovery Park for a family hike. Grandpa was looking forward to hiking around the Seattle area. We tried to make it a New Year's Eve hike but the weather didn't cooperate. Not that it was sparking and sunny today either but the rain wasn't heavy. The beach part of our journey was incredibly windy. Everyone but Sommer enjoyed being whipped around by the crazy wind since it didn't last once we got back into the protection of the trees. Once the wind started Sommer refused to walk and was passed around to most all the adults. How helpful to have more adults around to help with the kids! It was a fun way to spend time together on this New Year's Day.

Paige, I am so impressed by the things you do. New Year's day means sitting around watching football and eating at our house! Happy 2010!

Beautiful pictures. It looks like you had a fun family time. I love going downtown, too. We have tried to spend some time there.

By the way, tell Cannon nice job on the book. After all, authors should write what they are passionate about, right? J/K! ;)

How fun that you had visitors for new years! I didn't know. Looks so beautiful by the way...even if the weather was incredible windy and cold!
