when the clouds roll in

On Monday the skies were clear blue with a smattering of white clouds. The wind picked up and didn't stop until the sky was dark and gray. Standing outside watching the girls play on the playground, feeling the wind whip around me, made me want to read Twilight again.

I know. How pathetic is that? But with all those pine trees and gray color everywhere, it just looked like the Twilight backdrop around here, as it should since Forks isn't too far away. And Halloween coming, so vampires and all that imaginary stuff seems more believable for a little while.

So I found my copy of the book last night (under my bed -- was I hiding it?) and started reading again. Really, I think my favorite part of the book is the science lab chapter where they are doing blood-typing. For all of you non-believers and non-Twilight readers (there aren't that many more of you out there) that part didn't make it into the movie.

I only read a couple of chapters and I don't think I'll get through the whole thing again, after all, Project Runway is on tonight. I have my priorities.

ps -- though I have the teeny-bopper countdown on the side of my blog, I do not have tickets yet for the movie -- a lot of theaters are already selling tickets I guess. I'm looking forward to it (Team Jacob!) but I'm also kind of sick of seeing all these actors everywhere. Maybe I should have picked up New Moon yesterday instead... Are you excited about the movie? Sick of the actors? Re-reading the books in your closet late at night? I fessed up so you don't have to be embarrassed.

As you know, I have the countdown on my blog, too. I am as excited as a 13-year old to see the movie. I don't own the books or else I'd think about reading New Moon again. We don't have TV right now, so I don't see a whole lot of the actors, other than when they're on slideshows of "2Hot2Handle" slideshows on yahoo. Although I'm team Edward, I feel a little too giddy about seeing Jacob shirtless. He can make a girl's heart flutter, that's for sure.

Have you read Midnight Sun online? I love reading the blood-typing scene from Edward's perspective. :)
I'm excited about New Moon, but nervous too. I am afraid it will be too "Hollywoodized".

Can't say I'm counting down the days to the movie, but I will definitely say the weather around here has reminded me of the series time and time again! And my nieces cannot WAIT to come visit their Aunt Sally "who lives near Forks :). It makes me appreciate the author's description of the area. We need to come down and see you guys sometime, but we need to get settled first! I'll be in touch!

Can't wait to see Hollywood's version of the story. Whether or not they get it roght, it will at least be interesting, right? :)

Kind of getting burnt out on the actors themselves in the media. Yeah, Yeah, we get it...they're huge. Whatever. Very excited about some of the new casting choices - too bad they didn't recast Rosalie ;) And thinking I need to read Twilight again.

You're right, the weather is perfect vampire-y, werewolf fodder.

Has anyone else commented that Ridge is looking like Edward lately? Well, perhaps more like the actor in his pre-Edward, Cedric days.

No one but you Alexis. I told him and he said something like, "girls think Cedric Diggory is good looking?" He was embarrassed but not at the comment. He does like to wear his hair "spiky." And he doesn't know what he wants to be for Halloween...
