New cast, blue cast

New cast last night. So far, so good as far as healing goes. Next appointment is October 16th. He's hoping that the dr gives him an early birthday present by taking the cast off for good.

So Ridge's arm was pretty smelly. He thinks it is hilarious that he gets finger jam. He didn't even notice that it smelled bad when they took the thing off for xrays. Eric was grossed out by the stink. And that reminded me of a little blurb I heard on the Rick Steves radio show one Saturday. He was reminising about his travels as a young man, his poor days, and he said that traveling around from country to country without bathing much helped him understand the purpose of sheets: to keep you from smelling your stinky self at night. You can just tuck that sheet right under your chin and you can't even tell that you haven't showered for weeks. What? I don't think that is why sheets were invented but he was so proud of his logic. I was really grossed out. I love the guy's travel advice, he's been everywhere, but I don't care to know about the ripeness of his body odor. I tried to google the question but I didn't find the answer. So there's a point to ponder for today.

I, too, love Rick Steves travel advice, especially his shows about Europe on PBS. But this sheet business is definitely TMI! Yikes.
And good luck with getting the cast off asap; if not, he could be a blue mummy for Halloween :)

Oh, Paige! You always make me laugh when I read your blog! I am cracking up about Ridge's amusement with disgusting finger jam and Eric being grossed out my stinky arm-in-a-cast. Thanks, friend! You made my day! :)
