Give them 5 minutes Sunday morning...

...and they invent a new game, something with dirty nighttime diapers of all the disgusting things. We had finished breakfast and I quickly put my makeup on while everyone else ran upstairs. Sommer came down on her own so I got her dressed.
While I was doing this I could hear the kids going in and out of the house to the tree house. I'm sure the entire neighborhood could hear them, they were screaming and laughing so much. I also kept hearing them run up and down the stairs, they thought they were being sneaky.
When I finally looked out the window, this is what I saw. I'm not sure what inspired it but I did make this the last time they played this game. Later in the day Cannon confessed that Laine threw one of the diapers over into the neighbor's yard. Thankfully, they didn't find it and have to throw it away themselves. And thankfully, this is a very kind neighbor. We were all going around the block later in the afternoon when Cannon tattled so I stopped to ask her if I could retrieve the diaper from her yard. She laughed and then laughed again when I told her what the kids were playing.

When we were little we played "bear bomb" -- we threw the stuffed animals off the bunk bed at each other. One time I got too many bear hairs in my mouth somehow and with my hypergagreflex, that I passed on to Ridge, I threwup. I'm sure my mother was thrilled.

Good times. Nothing's more fun than a dirty diaper, right? :)

Yuck. Awesome, awesome story to tell down the road when your kids are older.

The bears! I loved those bears. I had a 1950s one. Pink poodle skirt and all.

this is hysterical - although, I am sure I wouldn't have thought it was quite so funny if it was happening in my own house. :)
