movie nights

Last night Angie and I went to see Shopaholic. I know, how lucky is that to go to a movie on a Thursday night? And at to the 6:45 showing so Eric handled bedtime and I got back early enough to watch the Office and get to bed at a decent hour. (And Sommer was the only child to wake up during the night and she just woke up once so I had enough energy to get to the gym in the morning!) We bought our tickets and the teenager behind the counter said,

"just so you know, this movie theater is closing tomorrow."

I said a silly reply, "where are we supposed to see movies now?" As if there is only one theater nearby us in this, the greater Seattle area. He replied that we should go to the AMC theater, just never go to a Regal cinema again because "they suck." I'm not sure how much notice this kid received about his job loss but the theater certainly didn't let anyone know. There were no signs in the windows. And the teenager said that people would show up for movies the next night and they'd find the CLOSED sign.

We liked the movie, I was glad to see it with a girl instead of dragging my husband along. There was only one other couple in the theater and they came in and sat directly behind us. Out of all the seats in the theater...

Last weekend Eric and I went to a late showing of Twlight at our discount theater. Eric liked it and on the way home he asked what happens in the rest story and I couldn't rememeber, still can't, what happens at the end of New Moon. Does anything happen? And my book is out on loan to someone so I couldn't look it up. Anyway, it was fun that he liked it enough and there was even a row of teenage girls in front of us who were madly in love with Edward, sighing and whispering every time he appeared on screen.

So, if you live around here, don't try to go to Mountlake 9 tonight!

Looks like everything is closing thanks to our economy...

Glad you got a girls night out in the middle of the week. And! Cannon slept through the night?! That's amazing (unless it has been happening for awhile now?)

New Moon - remember, they go to Italy...the Volturi...Edward almost walks out into the sunlight but Bella arrives just in time? After they get home...can't remember.

Oh my gosh! That's the theater right around the corner from me, what will I do now? Thanks for the heads up :o)

The end of New Moon is very exciting! It's when Bella flies to Italy to rescue Edward from suicide, then we meet the Volturi.

I love that Eric liked Twilight and asked you about what happens next. I'll Doug that he's not the only one out there that is interested in the series now.
