Peas and Carrots

Those were the vegetables that made it from seed to plant in my ridiculous garden. I suppose that those are the best ones for our family right now since everyone will willingly eat them. It was quite a pleasure digging them out of the ground but as I looked at them for such a long time they reminded me more and more of crooked orange fingers so I was kind of grossed out by them by the time I brought them in to be washed. Little gnome and troll phalanges. The stuff Halloween is made of so I will have to put that out of my mind when I'm cooking them for the family to eat. And even though I'm pretty sure it will still be ridiculous next year, we'll try to grow things again.

phalanges. One of my favorite words. The girls can imitate me saying it quite well. I put a creepy voice with it. :) Congrats. At least your corn isn't covered in earwigs and is therefore inedible because you can't bring yourself to husk it.
