Just have to give myself a cyber-pat on the back since yesterday I met my goal of running the Seafair Torchlight 8k run in 38 minutes. I know, it was closer to 39 but having 38 out in front was my goal and I did it! 5th in my age group, 353rd out of 1500+ runners. I've had this goal written on our white board for several months and it feels great to have accomplished it, though it wasn't easy -- I think my body was still recovering from last weekend's runs or maybe I didn't run enough this past week. Anyway, I did it. Come run with me next year, this is a great race.
