Birthday Boy

Cannon turns 5 today! He woke up and 6 and came to see me (Eric was at work already). I wished him a happy birthday and he said, "thanks! I'm so proud of myself." We're proud of him too. He is a very sweet natured boy. (The cake is supposed to be a mountain with a motorcycle going up the side.)

We had a birthday party for him on Friday last week. 9 little boys at our house running wild. We set up the bounce-house, decorated the Land Cruiser for play, and had a treasure hunt for party favors. But the highlight of the party was a motorcycle ride around the house with Eric. When he started that bike up and rode Cannon around those boys lined up so quickly, all by themselves, they were so excited, and they waited so patiently -- they were kind of bouncing while waiting but no one fought or pushed, they just wanted their turn to ride. Cannon wanted a motorcycle theme even before Eric came home with his so it made the party even more fun that we actually had a huge motorcycle at our house. It was a gorgeous day, just like today (we may have a summer yet) making it even more special to celebrate Cannon.
Happy Birthday!

What a fun idea, giving motorcycle rides. I bet the boys loved that.
Well Happy Birthday to Cannon. I am glad he got to have such a fun party. I am also glad to hear that you have had a couple of days of nice weather. I hope you are able to get out and enjoy it as much as possible. You never know how long it is going to last.
