Turn to Paige 33

I ate a lot of cupcakes for my birthday this year. What a fun way to celebrate. And I have a gift card to go and get some more! Torrie brought me a pre-birthday cupcake on Wednesday night, along with the giftcard. Eric took me out to dinner and a movie and then to get cupcakes for dessert on Thursday night. We bought extras so we could eat cupcakes for breakfast today! Yummy! The kids were happy to celebrate my birthday this morning but then the rest of the day they didn't quite get that it was still my birthday, even though I reminded them 50 times. Oh well.

And actually, my birthday started a few weeks ago when I booked a trip to Hawaii for September. Eric isn't going with me but he was really happy that I found a great deal and was eager to give me the chance to go on vacation. He even called my sister to see if she could go with me. It wasn't a good time for her to join me but I am going with 3 great friends. It will be a blast. I think of the trip often, especially on days like today when I was hoping for sun but it never came out.

Eric took me to a cozy Italian restaurant in the Alki beach area for a delicious dinner. Then we went to see the new Indian Jones movie. We didn't time eating quite right so we ended up sitting in the front row (it made all the actors have mile-long legs, a funny perspective), but we still enjoyed it well enough. I can't say it was my favorite Indiana Jones movie but it was fun to see him in action again. I forgot that when you watch the show you have to just believe that anything is possible for this action-adventure hero and that phenomenal things happen to him. I'd like to see it again sitting in the middle rows and with the attitude that he is more of a quasi superhero than a regular guy.

I was going to post 33 things about my life and myself right now but my brain is too tired so maybe I'll do that later.
