"I'm awake!"

When Sommer wakes up and is done playing, she stands in this corner of the bed, closest to the door and starts whining. If we don't come soon enough then the tears start. She has also started doing this in the middle of the night, kind of subconsciously I think. She just automatically crawls to this end of the crib and starts crying. It is pretty cute to see her expectant little face peeking around. Sad in the middle of the night though when she seems stuck there, just wondering how in the world she's going to go back to sleep.
And you probably noticed the tape holding the crib together. When Laine was a baby, Eric was leaning against the crib, most of his body weight, and I heard a strange noise so I told him that he better move or he'd break the crib. He said something along the lines of "that's ridiculous you crazy lady" and then the crib splintered and broke. But at that point I wasn't going to go buy a new crib, Laine was not a tiny baby and we didn't know if we were going to have a Sommer or not. I don't think there are many baby #fours in the world who get brand new cribs. So we make do with the packing tape. At least it is clear.

In all of our moving, we lost our crib screws. So, Dan's dad figured out what we needed and put everything back together. They are ugly thick silver screws, but they get the job done!

I love tape! And Afton used to do this too - it was so cute to hear her little voice in the morning saying "hi!"

Cute room! I mean, cute baby (of course) but really--CUTE room! Those are the colors in my girls rooms too--that great green with pink and white accents (and yellow and blue). I love the paint job! Wish I could paint ours!
