8 Months

Happy miss Sommertime is 8 months old! She is still a delight. Her accomplishments of the past month have been another tooth, this one on top; slowly creeping around the furniture; dancing; growling (I need to get this on video). Cannon has discovered that he too can carry her around the house and so he brings her to me at various times throughout the day because he can, not because she is crying. Seeing him do this often reminds me of a child carrying a kitten or puppy. Sommer is generally indifferent about this, she is just happy to be part of the action.

Yesterday and today these were the comments that she got from strangers:
"Those eyes are going to pop out of your head." and
"Could those eyes get any bigger?"
I'm taking these as compliments cast in a strange way. Her eyes are bright and blue and happy and watching her makes me want to open my eyes wider and smile back.

She is adorable!
I use to always get comments from strangers about Ayva's eyes being so big. It only bothered me when that was the only thing they would say because it would make me feel like something was wrong with their size. But like you, I loved how she looked at me with such wide, beautiful eyes...I still do.

She is beautiful Paige! And I love her sweet smile. I love how a baby brings sweetness into a home.

I totally agree with you about how she just makes you want to smile right back..then again, all of your kids do that to me! What a fun age she is right now- maybe she's your answer to getting thru a Seattle- spring.. (thats an oxymoron isn't it?)

She is so cute! This picture makes me want to cry because she is so precious and I love little babies and because I'm tired, but mostly because she is such a sweet little spirit.
Miss you!
