She looks like me?

How delightful to read the comments about Sommer's pictures and have people say she looks like me. I don't remember what people said about baby Ridge but with Laine and Cannon they would look at the baby then study my face and then say that they look like their dad. Today a stranger asked about Sommer's age and then said, "don't you look like your mom." It was very fun.

Angie, Chad's fiancee, is visiting this weekend. Hopefully we don't scare her away from Seattle. We were talking with Chad about plans for tomorrow, going to Chinooks for breakfast, and asked if maybe they'd want to sleep in since they'll be out late tonight. Chad said something like, "I just want to wake up early and start the day so I can be with Angie as long as possible." Isn't that just too sweet? Once upon a time my husband said things like that about being with me. I love our kids but sometimes I miss when it was just the two of us. Anyway, the kids have been really excited to meet Angie and are super excited that they'll be living next door to us. Cannon prayed the other night to "bless Chad that he can live here forever." More to come on this topic...

I sure love Cannon's prayer! How sweet is that?!
What a great little family. And I am sure Angie will love you guys as much as we do.

Thanks Paige and Eric, for all the good things you do for Chad and now for Angie, too. I know your good examples have been a blessing to him. I love you all!

That's so sweet! And I agree, its nice to have someone, anyone, say that the child you work so tirelessly to bring into the world and keep in this world at least LOOKS like you!
