Damage Report

Just to update, Eric was able to fix the hot water heater himself but we had to call a guy in to fix the heater. He was able to fix it, I'm not going to tell you how much it cost but he did say, "I'm only going to charge you for an hour's labor because I feel sorry for you."

Wow! thanks how nice!
An hour's labor is $105. Hmm.

thank goodness for pity I guess. ..and I was thinkin'- Maybe we're in the wrong business...I'll tell Ryan about how much a hot water heater fixer gets -even when he's just feelin' sorry for someone.

$105 huh...maybe I need to learn how to fix heaters.
I am happy to hear that all has been restored to working order and you won't be freezing this winter.

Looks like I'll stick with computer repair. :D

That's a bummer about the furnace. I remember how cold it was in Laine's room in October, and that was with the heater ON.

I hope things get cleaned up ok for you guys. Believe it or not, I wish I could be there to help.

Thanks Marc and everyone. I need to remember that next time something like this happens I should call on my neighbors in behalf of Eric. We'll take you up on your offer, John.

Wow, what a memorable December you're having! You are so lucky to have handy guys around...Paul & I often wish we had a 3rd genderless adult in our marriage who was really handy 'cause neither of us are! This person would also love to make dinner and have prophetic vision so s/he would be great at making decisions, too! ;) I'm glad things are drying up for you & hope life gets back to "normal" soon!

A genderless adult around. That is pretty funny. We could all use a person like that.
